Beginning Improv for Adults 1:00-3:00 p.m. 16 0

Taught by 20-year improv player and coach, KC Cooper, each class in this 5-week course will focus on a different aspect of improv.  Students will learn the power of “yes and,” the art of listening and responding, finding agreement, using the environment and developing characters—all in a fun supportive environment! Improv adds another tool to a stage actor’s toolbox and can be applied to business and social settings as well. Each student will discover their own improv style while having fun with other students. 

If you are new to improv, or want to brush up on your basic skills, this is the class for you! There is a 16 student maximum. 

Age requirement- 18 and older.

Class time is 1-3 pm.

Fundamentals of Improv Scene Work for Adults 3:00-5:00 p.m. 16 8

This 5-week class series puts the “fun” in fundamentals and will focus on the aspects of good scene work – Scene starts, entering and editing scenes, character development, creating environment, heightening and agreement, status, endowment, and finding the game in a scene. Students will play short-form improv games and long-form scene work. This class is taught by 20-year improv player and coach, KC Cooper. 

Prerequisite:

Beginning Improv for Adults or equivalent class at another theater (with approval by instructor) Maximum class size– 16 students.

Age requirement- 18 and older.

Class time is 3-5 pm.
