This will help the students understand more of the facial descriptions for their own self-portrait. Then the students will draw an image of themselves. It is a requirement that all students bring in a close-up picture of themselves for the class. Throughout the remainder of the week I will show them how to make their self-portraits come to life through line, color, value, dimension, and texture. In the last step, the students will use acrylic paint as a medium to color in their pieces.
