Advanced bowls is for continuing students to learn different aspects to further their design and production of bowls and closed forms. Subjects include but are not limited to coring, making pots and calabashes, mastering the skew chisel, multiaxis turnings, viking bowls, and enough independent time to complete several personal projects. Nominal fee for sourced wood will be collected when needed in the classroom. Wood can be purchased from the Teaching Artist directly. Class pricing includes tuition fees, and a transaction fee. The Fall Woodturning Co-op provides access to the woodturning workshop during non-class times. Co-op members should be safety and technically evaluated to work independently, however it is strongly recommended to work with others in the room. Lab fee of $20 is due at orientation. Orientation Date is Oct. 24th, 2025.  Woodturning Co-op registration must be pre-approved by Matt Radtke (unless a renewing student) with release forms in place. Co-op members are expected to follow all recommendations for safety, including working only when an additional member is in the room. Access is Monday through friday 9:00AM - 9:00PM, Saturday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, unless a class is taking place. Please check schedule before arrival.
