Glazing and decorating techniques are also introduced. Class is suited for beginner students and those with a little experience. Bring an old towel, a sketch book and lots of ideas. This class is suited for those with a little bit of experience. Students should be able to throw a small cylinder and a small bowl. In this class, we will refine our throwing skills to make lighter, better-centered pots. We will also explore more complex forms including lidded pieces and pouring pots and work on details like rims, feet, handles, etc. Bring an old towel, a sketchbook and lots of ideas. In this class students will advance their knowledge of wheel throwing to create more complex forms such as teapots, platters, pitchers, and lidded forms. We will also discuss aesthetic details regarding rims, feet, handle, proportions, weight, etc. Bring an old small towel, a sketch book and lots of ideas. Renata's Pottery Open Studio is for her students who wish to practice their craft outside of class times. Studio hours are open only to registered students in one of the following classes S25RM.  Last studio date is 8/6. Maryland Hall will not be able to refund or reschedule  should any date be closed for any reason.

Ready for a different kind of Date Night? Try pottery on the wheel with your loved one, a family member or BFF! This fun class will teach you the basics of throwing on the wheel in a fun, energized setting. No experience necessary. Each individual may make choose 3 favorite pieces to keep at the end of the evening. You will also be able to choose your own glaze colors for your finished pieces! Students will also have the opportunity to try tandem throwing and recreate your own GHOST moment! BYOB and snacks encouraged. Note: Turn around for finished pieces is 3-4 weeks.
