Perfectionism is the enemy of creativity. In this easy-going, expressive acrylic painting workshop, you’ll be encouraged to make your mark—and own it. We’ll begin with a simple portrait format, where accuracy takes a back seat to truthful expression. You’ll discover how style and symbolism can speak volumes, and how a portrait can reveal just as much about the subject—and the artist—through how it’s painted, not just how it looks.This workshop is about trusting your instincts, owning your quirks, and letting go of comparison. No experience needed, every class is different so returning students are always welcome.

3/14 Holly's Family Art Jam: Clay Creature Mugs (WS26HR9) Saturday 3/14 10am-12pm. Room: 117B. Price: $98.32 8 6

In this family-friendly workshop, each participant will create their own creature mug! The teacher will guide you through hand building techniques and personalizing and texturing your mug, as well as applying underglazes. All materials will be provided to bring your creature to life! Each registration includes a seat for a parent and child, and each participant makes their own work. 3/17 Already Artists for Teens Ages 12-17(WS26ST4) Tuesdays 3/17-4/28 5pm-6:30pm Room: 305 Price: $294 12 12

In this six-week art course for teens and tweens, students will be encouraged to expand their technical skills while embracing their individual style. Each week, we’ll explore influential artists, cultural trends, and current events as sparks of inspiration, showing that ideas can be found everywhere. Projects will introduce new tools and techniques—drawing, mixed media, 3D construction, and acrylic painting—while leaving room for personal interpretation and discovery. Even when starting from the same prompt, every piece will reflect each student’s unique perspective and voice. The goal is not only to refine artistic abilities but also to nurture confidence, curiosity, and trust in their own creative process. Above all, this class is about protecting the spark that makes every student unique while providing a strong foundation to explore, grow, and hone their skills—so they can become the fullest expression of the artist they already are.No experience needed, every class is different so returning students are always welcome.

This class allows young artists to explore the world of mosaics by designing their own clay tiles from scratch, and glazing them in a choice of bright and beautiful colors. Welcome to the world of clay! In this class, we invite young students to get their hands dirty and create amazing works of art using a variety of clays. We'll explore kiln-fired clay, model magic, and polymer clay, giving your child the opportunity to experiment with different textures, colors, and techniques. Whether your child is a seasoned artist or a beginner, they'll have a blast discovering the possibilities of clay. At the end of the class, they'll take home a collection of unique and handmade masterpieces to share with family and friends. Please bring art-friendly clothes, and a water bottle. Learn how illustrators flesh out characters, settings, and concepts at every step of the process in video games, animated movies, and graphic novels! This family-friendly workshop is ideal for mothers day. Each participant will create their botanical-themed artwork out of polymer clay! The teacher will guide you through modelling techniques to create lifelike flowers, plants, and foliage, while you personalize and texture your artwork. All materials will be provided to create your beautiful art garden in a mini planter! Each registration includes a seat for a parent and child, and each participant makes their own work.
