Designed for 55+. Have you always wanted to knit, but didn't know where to start? This six-week session will introduce you to the basics of knitting and guide you through your first completed project. Along the way you will acquire essential skills to decipher knitting patterns, choose the correct yarn for your project, execute more complicated knitting stitches, and flawlessly finish your projects. By the end of this class, you should be able to confidently embark on your next knitting project.

Are you stuck on a project, or have a project in mind but need help getting started? Bring your project and your knitting or crochet questions to the Fiber Arts Studio! In this student-directed, four-week session, we will answer your questions as we cover a range of topics such as advanced knitting or crochet stitches and techniques, selecting patterns and yarn, measuring gauge and how it affects your final product, and how to get stalled projects back on track. Students should bring a project (pattern, yarn, and hook/needles) or talk with the instructor for help selecting materials. Returning students are welcome to repeat this class as many times as they'd like. *basic knitting/ crochet skills required*

Anyone can quilt! In this workshop, you'll learn everything you need to know to prepare, hand quilt, and bind a mini quilt. We'll work with 18-by-18-inch squares of fun fabrics and experiment with patterns and colors. No experience is necessary to take this workshop—if you've never hand sewn, quilting is the perfect low-stakes way to learn!
