Finding Nemo Jr. 9-3 Mon-Fri 30 14

MCPKids! is excited to present its production summer camp for students ages 8-16. This summer we are performing Finding Nemo Jr. with permission from Music Theatre International, Inc. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

Camp dates are June 24- July 7, with camp hours 9-3 Mon-Fri both weeks (with a shortened rehearsal 9-12 on July 4). Performances will be 7pm on July 5, and 2pm on July 6 and 7. All rehearsals and performances will be held at Monmouth Memorial School (130 Academy Rd. Monmouth, ME 04259) other than our July 4th rehearsal, which will be held at 10 Bowdoin St. Winthrop, ME 04364 (enter the church parking lot through the KSB drive through entrance).

Before care will be offered from 7:30-9 and after care from 3-4:30. Both before care and after care are separate costs, at $100 each. Students are expected to bring their own food and snacks for rehearsals (food is not provided)

Tuition for the 2 week camp is $350.00. A deposit of $100 is expected at sign up, and the rest of the tuition and before/after care payments are due in early June at auditions (date TBD).  If you want more information about MCPKids! scholarships, please also email for more information.

MCPKids! Heroes and Villains Camp 9-2, Mon-Fri 15 14

Do you have a younger student interested in learning more about theater? What better way to do that than through play and experience? Our Heroes and Villains camp will be a chance for students to learn more about being on stage, from acting to singing and dancing, to learning what an audition is like and playing theater games. This camp is just one week, and students will showcase some of the things that they have learned at the end of the week through a performance for parents, friends, and other family.

This camp is a great opportunity for younger students to get introduced to the world of theater without the pressure of being in a full production. This is meant for students with no prior experience, or students with a little experience that want to continue their theater journey.

Camp will take place at Monmouth Memorial School, 130 Academy Rd, Monmouth, ME 04259. Camp hours will be 9-2 daily, Monday through Friday, the week of July 29-Aug 2. A parent showcase will be put on on Friday Aug 2 at 1pm.

Tuition for this 1 week camp is $150.00. The full tuition will be expected at the time of sign up. We will also offer before care from 7:30-9 and 2-4 if needed. Each of these extra periods will be $100 per student. These do not need to be paid until the first day of camp, but please let us know if you will need before/after care in advance. Students will be expected to bring their own lunch and snacks, as no food is provided by us.

This camp will be run by MCP Education Director Danny Gay. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at mcpkidsmaine@gmail.com. We can always discuss alternative payment, etc on a case by case basis. If you want more information about MCPKids! scholarships, please also email for more information.

MCPKids! Spy Camp 9-2pm Mon-Fri 15 15

Do you have a student interested in learning more about theater? This camp is meant for students that have had a little experience in  theater and that want to help write their own adventure. This camp is just one week, and students will showcase some of the things that they have learned at the end of the week through a performance for parents, friends, and other family.

This camp is a great opportunity for students to get introduced to the world of theater without the pressure of being in a fully staged longer production. This is meant for students with no to little prior experience that want to continue their theater journey.

Camp will take place at Monmouth Memorial School, 130 Academy Rd, Monmouth, ME 04259. Camp hours will be 9-2 daily, Monday through Friday, the week of Aug 5-9. A parent showcase will be put on on Friday Aug 9 at 1pm.
