1. Intro to Tap Workshop 6:30PM 20 20

Class will be held 6/9 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in our dance studio, College Center room 164.

Discover the rhythm and excitement of tap dance in this fun, beginner-friendly Intro to Tap Workshop for ages 16+! This one-night-only class is designed for anyone interested in learning the basics of tap in a welcoming and energetic environment. Participants will start with a warm-up, explore a foundational tap technique, and finish by learning a short tap combination. Tap shoes are highly encouraged if you have them, but not required. Come ready to make some noise, move your feet, and have a great time!

2. Intro to Juggling Workshop 5:00PM 20 20

Class will be held 6/14 5pm-6pm in our dance studio, College Center Room 164

Stop buying expensive gear and start crafting it! In this workshop, we will create custom, durable juggling props and learn the basics of juggling in a relaxed, social environment. We'll turn everyday items into personalized juggling balls and explore the basics of throwing, catching, and finding your own rhythm.

3. Intro to Musical Theatre Dance Workshop 6:30PM 20 18

Class will be held 6/16 from 6:30pm to 8pm in our dance studio, College Center room 164.

Step into the world of Broadway with this high-energy Intro to Musical Theatre Dance Workshop for ages 16+! Perfect for beginners or performers looking to build confidence, this one-time class will explore the foundations of musical theatre movement in a fun and supportive environment. Participants will begin with a full warm-up, move into a technique-focused section covering musical theatre dance basics, and finish by learning an exciting choreography combo inspired by the stage. Bring comfortable clothes, water, and a willingness to move and have fun!

4. Stage Combat Workshop 5:00PM 20 20

Class will be held 6/28 from 5pm to 6pm in our dance studio, College Center room 164.

Instructor: Jessica Lopez-Barkl

Have fun finding your inner warrior! This stage combat workshop will give you some foundations and skills to perform convincing fight scenes safely. You will learn some basic terminology for stage combat, safety, consent/intimacy work, punches, kicks, falls, and weapons. This will class will prioritize safety and using this tool for optimum storytelling through movement.

Diverse skill levels: The workshop is suitable for beginners to experienced actors. 

Practical application: Hands-on exercises to learn fight choreography. 

Storytelling element: Stage combat can be used to enhance character development and excitement for the overall presentation aspect of theater.

Variety of techniques: Unarmed and weapon techniques will be covered.

5. Intro to Costuming Workshop 11:00AM 20 19

Class will be held 7/19 from 11am to 1pm in the 2nd Floor Lobby of the Lipkin Theatre
