The Theatre Orangeville Youth Singers (T.O.Y.S.) continue to be an integral part of Theatre Orangeville’s mandate to offer quality programs for young people in our community, and this year they’re back with new opportunities! T.O.Y.S. members whether new to singing or experienced, will develop a general appreciation of vocal skills and receive specific training in choral singing. Emphasis on teamwork and ensemble performance will build up self-confidence in each member. Under the direction of Ms. DuBois, the TOYS Junior Choir will develop a portion of the the TOYS Spring show. This spring show is their own fully supported production Collaboring with our talented professional production team the choir will learn the importance of how theatrical design can help tell stories and create dynamic performances. Decked out with props, costumes, staging, lighting and choreograpy this spring show will choir members to have a full theatrical experince! Theatre Orangeville Exceptional Players (T.O.E.P.)

Mondays, March 17th to May 12th

Meet and greet for new students on March 3rd No Class April 21st

T.O.E.P. is a skills-based theatre program using theatre games, music and improv for youth and adults with neuro-diversities. T.O.E.P. participants are encouraged and supported to reach beyond and develop not just theatrical skills, but self-confidence, teamwork skills, and new methods of self-expression.

Geared at grades 7 through high school

Weekly classes run from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, for 8 weeks

Showcase: May 13th, showtime 7PM, rehearsl 4pm

An adult class is offered on Monday afternoons, please reach out for more information regarding this. 

The Junior Stage 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM 18 9

The Junior Stage

Tuesdays March 18th to May 6th 

Participants broaden their social and developmental skills through a focus on team work, while building self-confidence through performance and exploring their imaginations. They will learn how to creatively problem solve with their peers, and how to confidently contribute their own ideas through the introduction of storytelling, improvisation, role-playing, scripted work, pantomime, voice and movement. This program culminates in a showcase performance 

Geared to Grades 2 through 4

Weekly classes run from 6:30 to 8 PM for 8 weeks

Showcase time: 7 PM  call time, 4 PM*

The Next Stage 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM 20 16

The Next Stage

Wednesdays, March 19th to May 7th 2025 

This is an advanced program for those ready to take acting to the next level. This program focuses on intensive acting techniques and various disciplines of theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to build on their current skill base and explore new challenges and methodologies.

This program ends with an Academy showcase performance!

Geared to grades 8 through 12

Weekly classes running Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM for 8 weeks

Showcase Date: Tuesday May 13th, *4 PM call time, 7 PM showtime

The Intermediate Stage 6:30 to 8:30 PM 20 7

The Intermediate Stage

March 20th to May 8th 

Participants will dive further into the fundamentals of theatre, learning how to create honest and genuine characters through improvisation, memorization, and personal experience, all the while honing the unique talents of individual participants to become confident and courageous actors. This program focuses on the development of trust and collaboration within the group, and the fuelling of spontaneity, and creativity.

This program culminates in a showcase performance!

(No prerequisite required).

Geared to grades 5 through 7

Weekly classes run Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, for 8 weeks

Scene Stealers - The Adult Acting Lab allows both beginners and seasoned performers to develop their theatrical skills.

Step into the spotlight and explore the world of acting in this engaging and supportive class for adults. Perfect for beginners or seasoned performers, you'll build confidence, hone your craft, and develop skills in character work, improvisation, and scene study.

The Imagination Station Baby and Me class brings caregivers and their todlers together to spark imagination and connection in this fun-filled creative drama class!Through storytelling, movement, music, and playful activities, you'll explore the magic of theatre together, building confidence, creativity, and cherished memories in a nurturing and engaging environment.
