Summer Camp Week 4-Young Players

Program Dates: July 29th to August 2nd 

Grades 3-6

During this dynamic week, the Young Players explore many aspects of theatre including scripted work and collaborative play. These campers will build on their theatre skills such as improvisation, movement, elements of stage presentation, and character development inspired by stories and imaginations. This camp is perfect for newcomers to theatre and those looking to further develop their skills through creative activities and interactive games. At the end of the week, we put on a final presentation to share all we have learned!

Young Company Drama

The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe

Grades 7-12

Program Dates: July 29th- August 23rd

Monday-Fridays 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Performance Dates: August 23th-25th -Times TBC

The Theatre Orangeville Drama Young Company program aims to provide a unique opportunity for talented and hard-working young people in grades 7-12 who are looking for an in-depth theatrical experience. An audition is required for entry into this summer program and concludes with a fullscale production at the end of the 4 weeks of the intensive and fun-filled rehearsal process.

Summer Camp Week 5-Tiny Stars

Program Dates: August 6th - 9th

Grades 1- 3

Join us for an exciting week where we introduce these Tiny Stars to the magic of theatre! These participants will explore drama games, improvisation, movement, storytelling, imaginative activities, and character exploration. At Tiny Stars we will build confidence, develop social skills, and develop our creative thinking. At the end of the week, these participants will show off their newfound skills in a delightful final showcase.

Summer Camp Week 6- Young Company in Training- Scene Study

Program Dates: August 12th - 16th

Grades 5-8

During this Young Company in Training camp, participants receive a real taste of our intensive month-long drama program. Participants will dive into a week of intensive scene study, where they will dissect scripts, delve into characters, and refine their dramatic skills. Participants will elevate their theatre skills and push them toward honing their understanding of emotional depth, dialogue dynamics, and stage presence. The camp concludes with a showcase, spotlighting the captivating scenes performed by each participant.
