This course is designed for students 3rd grade and up, who have a passion for singing, dancing, acting, and all aspects of musical theatre. Throughout the course, students will tackle several pieces that will expand their knowledge of musical theatre. Students will sing and dance their way to Broadway!

Get the Hook is Parkway Playhouse's own professional improv comedy troupe. Students practice and perform year round, as well as attend improv festivals and advanced workshops with working improvisers from across the country. Students who have completed the Improv for Teens Conservatory class are invited to audition for Get the Hook. At this time, all current spots are filled.

This course is for those students with a story in their heart, and a passion for writing. You will learn everything there is about constructing the plot, characters, and dialogue of a play!

This advanced theatre class will explore methods and styles of acting, allowing students to hone their craft. Students will engage in advanced warm-up processes, theatre games, and work with their peers on contemporary plays and scenes, through preparing and performing scenes and monologues. Preparing audition pieces for college auditions or Mainstage productions will be a focus in this class as well.

If you have a student who is interested in backstage action, this is the class for you! Students will learn the design and construction process for lighting, sound, costumes, makeup, and sets, and help create and build the set for our Junior productions!
