Devised Theatre Class w/Benjamin Ruth 18 30 28

Behind the Lore is a Halloween-themed devised theatre class under the direction of Benjamin Ruth and Kirsten Almeida.

Devised theatre, frequently called collective creation, is a method of theatre-making in which the script or performance score originates from collaborative, often improvisatory work by a performing ensemble.

Behind the Lore is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work closely with Benjamin Ruth, an expert on all things Haunted and Halloween.  In this class, student actors will create the script, set, costumes, and perform. It is a unique opportunity to create something never been seen before and have complete creative autonomy with guidance from teacher-mentors.

The class will meet twice a week for 2 months at St. John's UCC in Emmaus to create an original Halloween-themed theatre piece to be performed at the final showcase on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Enrollment fee is $100 per student.
