This summer program picks up right where Beginning Strings leaves off!

Accelerando is a two-week summer intensive for students who have just completed one of our Beginning Strings courses and/or have reached page 25 in Essential Elements Book 1. This camp will focus on retaining the skills learned through the Beginning Strings course, as well as learning fun new songs! Students will learn through singing, games, and playing their instruments. The program will culminate with a performance on the last day so that the students can show off what they have learned! Age range 7-18. Max class size of 35. 

This camp will be held at Destin High School Band Auditorium from 9am-12pm, Monday-Friday, June 9-20.

Price $275 for 2 weeks. Students are automatically enrolled for and expected to attend both weeks. 

Join Sinfonia Gulf Coast for an after-school program and learn to play the violin, viola, cello or bass. Class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the music room at Bluewater Elementary School. Students must be picked up at the Music Room back door promptly at 4:30 PM.

Class limited to incoming 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students only. Your student must be enrolled at this school to participate in this program. This is a year long course that will prepare them to enter our  youth orchestra programs.

$160 per semester. Price includes class lessons twice a week (excluding holidays and other school closures) and two end of the semester performances. Instrument and accessory rental not included. Need based scholarships available. No refunds.

Join Sinfonia Gulf Coast for an after-school program and learn to play the violin, viola, cello or bass. Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the music room at Bluewater Elementary School. Students must be picked up at the Music Room back door promptly at 4:30 PM.

Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in the middle school building at Gateway Academy. Maximum class size of 20. Students should be picked up from the front of the middle school building. promptly at 3:45 PM.

Intermediate Symphonic Orchestra is for intermediate students who play string, wind, brass or percussion instruments. Students generally consist of middle school students. Rehearsals are held weekly on Sundays at Destin High School from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

2-3 years of experience necessary. Private lessons are strongly encouraged. Students are expected to practice regularly between rehearsals and will be performing as a group at least once per semester.  A passed audition is required before registration for this ensemble.

Class limited to incoming 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students only. Your student must be enrolled at this school to participate in this program. This is a year long course that will prepare them to enter our  youth orchestra programs.

Sinfonietta Strings is a beginning strings orchestra ensemble for violin, viola, cello and double bass. Students range from ages 7-18 but generally contain later elementary to early middle school students. Curriculum is centered around the last half of Essential Elements Book 1. This ensemble procedes completion of our one year After School Beginning Strings course. Rehearsals are held weekly on Sundays at Destin High School from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

1- 2 years of experience and/or completion of the Beginning Strings course is neccessary. Private lessons are strongly encouraged. Students are expected to practice regularly between rehearsals and will be performing at least once per semester. A placement playing test is required after registration and before the semester begins.

The Sinfonia Symphonic Youth Orchestra is intended for intermediate to advanced string, brass, wind and percussion students with 4+ years of experience. Rehearsals are held weekly on Sundays at Destin High School from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 Private lessons are strongly encouraged. Students are expected to practice regularly between rehearsals and will be performing as a group at least once per semester. A passed audition is required before registration for this ensemble.
