Aristocrats Tech Crew

5:30-8:00 p.m.

To work backstage with lights, sound, microphones, stage management, etc.  You will also receive tech credit to count toward auditions for the 2025-26 season.

You must be available 5:30-8 Monday July 14 to Friday July 18 and for performances July 19 from 1-3 and July 20 from 2-5.

Training for all positions will be Saturday, July 12 from 9-10:30 a.m.

SYAA one-week acting workshops are conducted by adult educators and interns experienced in both theatre and education.  The goal of the workshops is to give participants solid training in theatre basics: focus, cold reading, confidence in front of an audience, use of body and voice to convey meaning, memorization techniques and teamwork. The teachers/interns teach with hands-on activities and fun theatre games that illustrate these activities.   

The workshops' daily time-frame includes time onstage where students get to practice theatre skills on stage under the lights in SYAA's performing space.  The students produce a show in one-week, with basic costume/props bits and pieces.  Their show is written especially for them by guest artist, Jessica Rainwater-Grigson.

Romeo and Juliet Workshop (Ages 12-18)

Ages 11-18 • Cost: $200*

July 14 -July 25 (1-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday)
Performances:  July 26 at 2 p.m.
                           July 26 at 7 p.m.

Workshop Fees include

• 4 tickets to the public shows
• $10 for all others -- General Admission
