Course Description

This Acting Class is designed for adults looking to deepen their craft through focused, hands-on training. You'll explore the technical foundations of acting, voice, movement, focus, and physical awareness, through structured exercises, ensemble work, and scene study. Within a collaborative environment, you'll strengthen the mind-body connection, take creative risks, and develop the tools needed to perform with confidence, clarity, and presence.

Meet the Instructor: 

Jeff Thomakos is the Producing Artistic Director of The Inspired Acting Company and a professional actor, director, and teacher with decades of experience in theatre and actor training. As a teaching artist, Jeff is known for an approach that emphasizes imagination, physical awareness, and psychological connection, guiding actors toward performances that are expressive, grounded, and dynamically responsive. Jeff believes that strong techique creates freedom, and that compelling acting emerges when the mind, body, and imagination work in harmony.

Adult Improv: Play with Confidence

Course Description

This improv class is designed for anyone who wants to sharpen their spontaneity, creativity, and collaborative skills. Through dynamic exercises, games, and unscripted performance, you'll strengthen your ability to think on your feet, listen deeply, and respond with clarity and presence. In a supportive, ensemble-driven environment, you'll build confidence, enhance your instincts, and discover the thrill and freedom of creating in the moment.

Meet the Instructor: 

Jeff Thomakos is the Producing Artistic Director of The Inspired Acting Company and a professional actor, director, and teacher with extensive experience in improvisational performance and training. His background in improv informs much of his approach to both acting and directing, with a strong emphasis on listening, presence, enemble awareness, and responding truthfully in the moment. His classes are known for being rigorous, playful, and deeply supportive, creating an environment where students feel free to take risks, fail boldly, and grow quickly. Jeff believes that improvisation is not just a performance skill, but a powerful practice for creativity, connection, and confidence both onstage and off.

Join us for a fun and energizing Drop-In Movement Class taught by Emily Lange, Educational Director at Inspired Acting Company. This one-day workshop is a chance to get moving, explore your creativity, and connect with your body in new ways.

Through playful exercises and guided movement activities, we’ll focus on confidence, expression, and finding freedom in the way you move. No experience is required. Just come ready to try something new, have fun, and move!

Defying Gravity

You'll dig into lyrics and music to uncover character, emotion, and story while learning how to sing with purpose, not just good notes.
