About the Show
Liza Jean’s father is injured while working in a mine during the California Gold Rush. Her brothers go to California to rescue him, but Liza’s mother won’t let her go because of the dangers lurking out West. Liza’s grandmother, Granny Pearl, encourages Liza to journey to California and show the world what she can do. Liza fixes her dreams to the wind, her gaze to the horizon, and her heart to the West – and runs away from home. On her journey, she learns that her brothers were captured by a debauched Desperado, Dirty Davey. She befriends a quack doctor, Doc Parsons, to help her rescue her brothers. At its core, this show is a heartfelt mother-daughter & father-son redemption story.

| | The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (One-Act)
Adapted by Don Quinn
From C.S. Lewis' story
Directed by Sean Boyd
About the Show:
That master of imaginative enchantment, C.S. Lewis, has created a unique world and he invites children to walk into it and enjoy both surprise and adventure. An old house in rural England becomes the home base for four children who wander into an incredible country through an old wardrobe and help the country return to summer. In the incredible Narnia, they make friends with the frightened forest people who have almost given up hope for the return of good King Aslan, their true ruler. When Aslan was there, it was always summer. There is a great battle to see whether this magical country will remain under a wintry spell or will, once again, know freedom and summer under good King Aslan. A charming play about courage and the love of freedom.
