Calling ALL Aerial Artists and Dancers!
Durham Ballet Theatre invites performers to audition for the 2026 Winter Showcase, featuring aerial silk, lyra, trapeze, and contemporary dance acts.
Auditions
Sunday, September 13
Performers age 8-12 check-in at 1:30 and audition 2-2:45
Performers age 13 and older check-in at 2:30 and audition 3-4:30

Auditions will include a group warmup, then skill demonstrations as requested by judges.
Choreography for the showcase will be developed in weekly rehearsals on Sunday afternoons.
To prepare for the audition, we have a mandatory interest meeting Saturday, September 12 from 1:30 to 3:00 at the studio. This will include time for an open lab to develop performance ideas and introduce grouping of performers.
If unable to attend in-person audition performer may submit a video audition to boleyn@DurhamBalletTheatre.org. Video submissions are due by 1:00 Sunday, September 13.
Audition fee of $20 is due at registration.
Performance fee of $60 is due upon acceptance into the showcase, which covers expenses of production including the weekly proctored rehearsals. You are responsible for your own costumes but Durham Ballet Theatre will have options for rent for an additional fee.
