Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach
Designed for young people ages 8–16, this exciting three-week summer musical theatre program gives students the chance to be part of a full show from start to finish. From auditions to opening night, young performers will work together as a team to learn songs, choreography, blocking, and character choices.
The wildly imaginative world of Roald Dahl’s beloved tale, James and the Giant Peach JR., follows James and his larger-than-life insect friends as they embark on an unforgettable journey across the ocean inside a giant peach. Along the way, the group faces danger, disagreements, and daring adventures—learning how teamwork, creativity, and courage can turn strangers into family. Filled with outlandish characters, bold storytelling, and endless opportunities for young actors to shine, this offbeat production invites students to sing, dance, and act their way through a theatrical adventure as big as their imaginations.
Hedgerow is a fun and supportive place where students can make new friends, grow more confident, and let their creativity shine. Whether it’s your child’s very first show or their next big role, this program offers an unforgettable theatre adventure that ends with a fully staged musical production for family and friends.
