Sculpture Techniques in Clay

Class Fee: $175 Materials Fee $50(materials fee waived for LCCC Ceramics Studio Members)

STUDENTS will purchase materials: clay, glaze and firing fees at a cost of $50, on the 1st day of class.

OPEN STUDIO TIME at LCCC during Regular Business Hours & Tuesday Nights from 5-9pm.

SCULPTURE TECHNIQUES IN CLAY- An introduction to fundamental ceramic skills in sculpting clay that will foster individual artistic growth and inspiration. Topics include: 4 methods of construction: Relief, Sculpture in the Round, Creative Additive Forms, and Modeling. Different surface techniques: i.e. staining, glazing, etc., will also be explored.  

Pre-class work: Please bring drawn/printed 6x6 inch image for the 1st project.

Examples: Sea creatures, portrait of favorite pet, landscape, seascape, portrait, etc.
