The Story to Stage workshop is an engaging, hands-on program that will guide participants in a process of taking the story Musicians of Bremen Town bringing the characters to life through song and action on stage.

Over the course of 5 weekly sessions, participants will learn some staging basics, beginning vocal skills, presentation skills and simple costume ideas.

Goals -

● Nurture children’s creativity and imagination through storytelling

● Build confidence and public speaking skills through performance

● Foster teamwork and collaboration as participants work together to bring a story to the stage

The Kids Story to Stage are for children ages 7 - 11. No prior acting experience is necessary.

Facilitator Bio - Karen Rentko holds a BAMus in Piano Performance/Accompanying from Pacific Lutheran University and a K-12 Music Specialist Certificate and Primary Elementary classroom endorsement at Western Washington University. She has taught in elementary music settings for 20 years and is active as an accompanist for choirs, vocalists and musical theater groups ranging from elementary school to college age. Her teaching experience includes elementary music, musical theater workshops, private lessons, leading/instructing musical productions, public and private school music specialist instructor, presenting choirs and participating in choral festivals, group instrumental instruction and folk dancing.

Refund/Cancellation Policy $50.00 of each tuition is non-refundable. The remainder of tuition is refundable up to, and including, the first day of camp. No refunds will be given after the first day. If Camp is cancelled due to lack of enrollment, a full refund will be given.
