Do you like tea? Do you like clay? Good! Let’s learn how to make different types of tea vessels and nerd out about tea. This is an intermediate wheel throwing class; students should feel comfortable with centering and forming basic ceramic forms. We will learn to throw “off the hump,” make different types of lidded forms and even make a teapot or two. Your first bag of clay, studio glazes, tools, and 20 hours of studio time outside of class are included in the class fee.
