Students will develop an artistic vision in assembling collages. In producing collage, the artist must include/exclude, balance/imbalance, configure/reconfigure, and imaginatively enhance the various visual components of the work. Students will explore the printing technique of mono prints and Collography. Each project will be in response to a quote from Annie Dillard's book " Pilgrim at Tinker Creek." The book is not required reading yet would be helpful. A number of prints will be used in a mixed media project the last two weeks of class.
