If a student is new to our program, please contact us prior to registration to discuss placement Discovering Repertoire syllabus includes well-known classical repertoire, based on a three-unit modular assessment (class work plus two variation options), to enable students to learn at their own pace. Female students can examine in the work either in flat shoes or pointe shoes, giving greater flexibility in how the work is approached and executed. Open to ages 13-18 with permission from ABSA staff. Class progresses from the Fall into Winter/Spring.
The Winter/Spring session provides two additional opportunities: students could be invited to participate in our Royal Academy of Dance Exams mid-spring, and the guaranteed ability to perform in our Annual Spring Recital in May. Examinations and Recital participation will require additional fees.
Dress Code: Girls: Any color leotard, pink or skin tone-matched tights, leather or canvas ballet shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, navy or black shorts, white socks, white Bloch full sole ballet shoes. Items available at Dance Supplies, Etc in Severna Park (410- 647-8727).
