09/17 ABSA Classical Ballet 5 + Pre-Pointe (TFA26ABS52)

Ages 11-12. If a student is new to our program, please contact us prior to registration to discuss placement, A natural progression from Classical Ballet 4, this is considered an Intermediate level class. Three to four years of previous ballet training necessary, and students will take three Classical Ballet 5 sessions per week. This class begins with a 30minutes of Pre-Pointe/Pointe. All ABSA students are required to pass a pointe test prior to obtaining pointe shoes.

Students may participate in our annual mini-Nutcracker in December. Continuing through the Winter/Spring session (Jan- May) provides two additional opportunities:
-Students could be invited to participate in our Royal Academy of Dance Exams mid-spring, at the discretion of staff.
-All students are invited to perform in our Annual Spring Recital in May. Exams and Recital participation will require additional fees.

Academy Ballet does not guarentee make-up classes for weather-related closures.

Dress Code: Girls: Royal Academy of Dance Faith leotard in Red, pink or skin tone-matched tights, leather full sole ballet shoes and canvas low heel character shoes. Students will be fitted for character skirts and shoes during the first week of classes which will be rented or purchased depending on availability. Boys: White t-shirt, navy or black shorts, white socks, white full sole ballet shoes, and black lace up character shoes. Girl’s Leotards are available through our studio (academydancesupplies.square.site).
