| More Information | Scene Study for Adults

February 11 - March 18
Wednesdays 6-7:30pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm
For ages 18 and up
We won’t concern ourselves with performance; instead, we’ll use the scenes as opportunities to explore how the actor can actively engage with the material. Some acting experience will be assumed, but we will take the actors just as they are and in each class take the scene at whatever stage of its development. We learn by observing and addressing the challenges the scene presents for the actor. We’ll ask questions about the assumptions and choices the actor has made, whether those turn out to be useful or not useful in creating a life in the scene. The class will be about practice not perfection.
