Audition Skills for Every Performer: Inside the Audition Room

Part of Breaking Barriers: Audition Skills for Every Performer, an Accessible Stages two-evening workshop series led by David Sheehy. Actors may take one or both classes. Open and intentionally designed for performers with and without disabilities, ages 10 through adult. This second session goes beyond the song, preparing participants for callbacks, cold reads, what kinds of accommodations they can request before any audition, and director redirects. Through partner work and practical exercises, performers build the flexibility, confidence, and self-advocacy skills needed to handle everything an audition room might throw at them.
