Class Description
Join us for a dynamic Drop-in Musical Theatre Dance Class taught by Inspired Acting Company Education Director, Emily Lange. This workshop is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and reconnect you with the joy of moving and storytelling through dance!
Together, we'll explore the fundamentals of musical theatre dance through guided warm-ups, across the floor work, and learning a short combination that emphasizes musicality, expression, and character driven movement.
Whether you're brand new to musical theatre dance or a seasoned professional looking to get back in the studio, this class offers a supportive environment where everyone can grow and have fun!

Please dress for movement, including dance shoes or sneakers you can move comfortably in
Class size is limited to 12 participants, so advanced registration is strongly encouraged
Come ready to move, sweat a litte, and tell stories through dance!
Meet the Instructor
Emily Lange is a director, choreographer, and teaching artist who has been dancing since the age of three. Originally from southwest Iowa, her formal training includes: Cecchetti ballet, jazz, and various modern techniques, with a background in musical theatre, tap, and ballroom. Her choreographic works have been featured at The Inspired Acting Company, Planet Ant Theatre, Milwaukee Ballet, and others regional companies. Emily's approach to movement is deeply informed by Laban Technique, Ostrenko Method, Meyerhold' Biomechanics, Viewpoints, and Suzuki Method, and she also bring experience in intimacy coordination. Prior to relocating to Detroit, she served on facluty at Danceworks MKE and Milwaukee Ballet Company. She is thrilled to be back in the studio creating joyful, rigorous, and expressive spaces!
