Creative Movement (Ages 6-9)

Saturdays 10:30-11:20

March 8 - May 10 (9 weeks)

Class will not meet on April 19th. 

This class is designed to be fun and to expand young people’s love of movement. This dance class introduces young dancers to basic technical principles of alignment and coordination in center and across the floor. Students will collaborate in brief partner studies and practice ensemble group forms. 

This class will be taught by Middlebury College dance students, Gabrielle Anchondo and Evelyn Rodriguez. 

Evelyn Rodriguez '26 is a Dance major and Computer Science minor at Middlebury College. She began dancing in middle school, focusing on modern dance but enjoys exploring various genres. Evelyn is dedicated to creating an engaging an uplifting experience in class. 

Gabrielle is a sophomore at Middlebury College, where she has worked with Laurel Jenkins on various dance projects. She has been dancing seriously since the age of 8, training with the Chicago Multicultural Dance Center, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, and as a company member of Noumenon Dance Company from 2021-2023. 

Tuition: $180

Ages: 6-9

Full and partial scholarships are also available.
