This 9-week series is a chance to learn the fundamentals of Taiji Quan and Qigong practicing slow and steady movements to build strength, stamina and coordination. Listening, breathing, following...increasing balance of both mind and body, reclaiming a sense of wholeness and ease.
Each class begins with warm-up exercises followed by form practices. The curriculum focuses on the Eight Pieces of Brocade Qigong and postures from Yang Style Taiji Quan. Each class ends with standing or sitting meditation.
In addition, the course will include discussion on Taiji philosophy and how to apply the principles of yin-yang balance to everyday living and within all relationships. Partner exercises will help you develop keen listening skills to practice this balance.
Complementary resources are shared weekly to enhance learning of Taiji Quan and Qigong as unique methods of exercise and training for health and wellbeing.
