Level 1: Foundation of the Scene
Union Comedy's entry-level course introduces students to the skills and techniques that are most essential to a successful longform improv scene. Students will learn the value of making decisive and active choices, embracing and utilizing the choices of their scene partners, and working together to create something fun, funny, and unique out of practically nothing. No prior experience necessary.

Instructor Bio:
Rachel has been doing improv since 2010. Since then, she has been lucky to appear on many resident casts at ImprovBoston, including several Harold teams and Face Off. With the independent cast Magic: The Gathering: The Show, she has performed in cities across the country. She began coaching in 2014, and has since directed shows, resident casts, and independent troupes selected for seasonal residencies at Indie Exposure. Additionally, she hosted and produced ImprovBoston's Cagematch for two years. She has been an instructor at the ImprovBoston Comedy School since 2018, where she has taught both in-person and online classes.
