The Fort Smith Symphony performs the most famous and recognizable piano concerto ever written: Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto, featuring the brilliant soloist Chaeyoung Park. After a brief intermission, the orchestra will bring Beethoven’s mighty Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major to the stage, known as the “Eroica” or “Heroic” Symphony. Romantic Journeys

This highly anticipated concert includes a rarely heard live performance of Max Richter‘s haunting “November” for solo violin and orchestra performed by Fort Smith Symphony Concertmaster, Er-Gene Kahng. Following “November” is the beautiful Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra by British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, performed by Fort Smith Symphony Principal Tubist, Ryan Robinson, showing off the beautiful lyric qualities of the tuba. After intermission, the mighty Symphony No. 2 by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius will be performed. This amazing work has long been recognized as one of the great symphonies of the Romantic era. It includes one of the most epic finales of any symphony ever composed. Hearing this program live is an event not to be missed.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

The film is projected on a huge screen over the orchestra, showing the complete feature-length film in all its glory. The music has been digitally removed from the film and is performed live by the Fort Smith Symphony performing John Williams’s amazing film score! This production continues to receive worldwide acclaim and is the ultimate family concert.
