| | Stinky Cheese Man and other Fairly Stupid Tales -
An AC4TA Youth Theatre Production
Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 2pm
"You can't catch me, I'm the Stinky Cheese Man!"
Loosely based on the story of the Gingerbread Man, a little old lady decided to make a man out of stinky cheese with one very important plot twist — the stinky cheese man is so stinky that no one wants to run, run, run after him, much less eat him.
From “The Stinky Cheese Man” to “Cinderummpelstiltskin” these unique, hilarious retellings poke fun at classic stories as Characters slide in and out of tales; Cinderella rebuffs Rumpelstiltskin, and Goldilocks meets the Three Elephants. Nothing is quite the same as you remember it.
Winter Youth Theatre is directed by Michael Ranscht - our new executive director!

| | Magic Carpet Ride
Saturday, February 14, 2026
7:30pm
Magic Carpet Ride is a musical journey through one of the most electrifying and impactful times America has ever seen.
The Performance: Immerse your senses in an electrifying video show projection accompanying a live performance of songs by The Doors ("Light My Fire"), The Byrds ("Mr. Tambourine Man"), Iron Butterfly, ("In-a-Gadda-da-Vida"), Jefferson Airplane ("White Rabbit"), Procol Harum ("A Whiter Shade of Pale"), Cream ("Sunshine of Your Love"), The Zombies ("Time of the Season"), Steppenwolf ("Born to be Wild") and Janis Joplin. ("Piece of My Heart").
The Light Show: In the late 60s and early 70s, our lighting designer, Nautilus Music Theater's Ben Krywosz, created, designed and operated shows for many national groups at Fillmore West and other Bay area venues in San Francisco, among the musical highlights, BLUE CHEER and IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY. He also provided lighting for productions of TOMMY and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.
The light show itself is a highlight of this experience, "conjuring up swiftly changing kaleidoscopic images that ebb and flow with the music"
Behind the Scenes:
Magic Carpet Ride was conceived by Gary Rue and created in collaboration with lighting designer Ben Krywosz to bring audiences back to the days when Bay area musicians were making an impact on the social fabric of our country.
The exacting musicianship of the band is supercharged by the light show itself, what critics have called ‘the 6th member of the ensemble’. | tickets

| | The Accidental Hero
Saturday, April 18, 2026 7:30pm
The Accidental Hero is a multi-media one-man show about a WWII American officer who miraculously liberates the Czech villages of his grandparents. It's a true story written and performed by his grandson, Patrick Dewane.
Patrick's grandfather refused to talk about his service in the war. When he died, his basement yielded a treasure trove of typewritten accounts, photos, and rare film footage. Dewane brings this archival material to glowing life as an enthralling, humorous and heartwarming tale of miraculous escapes and astonishing coincidences. Dewane takes on a dozen different roles as he powerfully recounts his grandfather's journey from Omaha Beach, the Battle of the Bulge, and the end of WWII. In the last week of the war, Konop's story turns away from a soldier's survival tale to something from mythology. He discovers his lost identity, embraced by the tribe he never knew. Like Luke Skywalker, Konop thought he was just fighting the Evil Empire, in this case the Nazis. But unlike Skywalker, this story is true. His was an epic homecoming. As he freed the Czechs, they liberated him. | tickets
