at the Naval Elks Lodge
Celtic music with a refreshing new attitude.
A storming new quartet, blending the drive of Irish traditional music and bluegrass along with the heart and the soul of Folk & Appalachian music.
Gadan is a new project created by four experienced musicians of Irish trad and European folk/rock scene. Their high–energy repertoire has a powerful live appeal and a sound comparable to new–trad acts such as Talisk, and WeBanjo3, but with a unique identity thanks to years of experience in folk scenes, from Appalachian & Old Time to English folk and Irish traditional music. Their lineup consists of two banjos – tenor & clawhammer – fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki and guitar creating an “strings–only” sound with a hint of electronics, driven by a powerful rhythmic pulse.
Gadan’s performances build energy, taking audience to ecstasy with their wide spectrum of refreshing yet traditional sound leaving no one unmoved. | Buy tickets |

The Black Feathers
Friday, Nov 10th, 2023 at 7 pm
at the Mood Room
These 2022 Juan de Fuca Festivals are back for an intimate preformance!
The Black Feathers, made up of Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler, dazzle with a blend of Americana, Folk, and Acoustic Indie Rock. They write songs that are both modern and ancient; the product of an arcane art of weaving in traditional influences so thoroughly that they become the warp and weft of fresh creations. Their music quickly draws the interest of listeners, but it is the stage chemistry that will keep them riveted.
“Once in a blue moon, the whole soars far above the sum of its parts. That’s what happens when The Black Feathers perform live”
- Black Mountain News, North Carolina
