In this concert, the development of romantic relationships intertwines with the imaginative and often magical settings typical of fantasy worlds. You’ll hear Harold Arlen & Johnny Mercer’s Old Black Magic, Jake Runestad’s tender And So I Go On, Fantasy as sung by Earth, Wind & Fire, Sam Pottles fun-loving setting of Jabberwocky, Hubert Parry’s La Belle Dame Sans Merci and many other tantalizing tunes! | Buy tickets |

“The luminous line of the map in the dark…” is one of the lyrics from Susan LaBarr’s Where the Light Begins. LaBarr explores themes of peace and hope—also the focus of this concert. We love the connection of the title to Greenwich Mean Time—the starting point from which all time zones center. We’re heading towards GMT ±00:00 when we tour Wales, Cornwall, and Ireland this summer; we offer you works by composers from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. A centerpiece of the concert will be Jake Runestad’s Becoming the Ocean—using the metaphor of a river entering the ocean, Kahlil Gibran reminds us of the power of community, joining together with others to become more powerful and more loved than we are on our own. | Buy tickets |
