Vivaldi Extravaganza!

An animated celebration of the music of Antonio Vivaldi, pairing acclaimed guest violinist Ingrid Matthews and our own Cynthia Miller Freivogel as leaders and soloists. Rarely performed ensemble works alternate with virtuosic violin concertos to transport the audience with an extravagance of sound and sense.

Conciertos de Navidad

Seasonal concertos from Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Spain, and Italy, all performed by our chamber orchestra with guest soloists. Our program highlights our signature blend of familiar and rarely performed gems, and a rich musical interchange of musical styles across the Atlantic Ocean. Roots and Remembrance

BCOC is joined by St. Martin's Chamber Choir and vocal soloists for a rarely performed 18th-century Requiem by Nicolo Jommelli. The ancient Requiem text has inspired generations of composers to create music that invites us to remembrance and rediscovery. The program also includes a visionary musical poem by the innovative 12th-century composer Hildegard von Bingen.

Bach's Goldberg Variations,  With Strings Attached 

Our ensemble, led by Cynthia Miller Freivogel, reprises a beloved masterwork: J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations. This exquisite theme with 30 kaleidoscopic variations has captured listeners' imaginations for generations. BCOC violist and arranger Alexander Vittal has created a superb interpretation for strings that highlights the extraordinary talents of our ensemble and its individual players.
