| | The Butterfly Effect is our second annual spring concert; showcasing the incredibly talented dance artists whom bring all qualities of humanity to the stage. Our students will showcase their hard work put forth in both Academy classes this year, and Monarch Dance Co.
Definition of butterfly effect
: a property of chaotic systems (such as the atmosphere) by which small changes in initial conditions can lead to large-scale and unpredictable variation in the future state of the system
Ex. The butterfly effect—an underlying principle of chaos theory—holds that tiny, apparently inconsequential changes can produce enormous, globally felt repercussions.
We believe in the possibility that the butterfly effect is always at work in our world. . .

| | Brass Transit: Chicago Tribute

The best crowd-pleasing, studio-tight Chicago tribute! The band's show includes all the hits from Chicago's golden age, 1969-1976. With a world-class horn section, a rocking rhythm section and vocals stacked sky-high, brass transit transports it audience back to the freewheeling days of the seventies. The band includes veterans of hall-of-fame rock and soul acts like The Drifters, Sam & Dave, Aretha Franklin, Ben E. King, The Marvelettes, Frankie Valli, Mary Wilson, Martha Reeves, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Del Shannon and the Mamas & The Papas.

| | he Academy of Dance Arts presents its annual June recital, "Ancient Airs - Modern Melodies."
Be transported in time through dance!
Our 11:00 AM performance features our early childhood and elementary classes in their end-of-year presentation. Dancers from our Academy Ballet Conservatory will perform "Ancient Airs," an original ballet by Academy of Dance Arts Founder and Artistic Director Sherry Moray. We will also showcase select pieces from our competitive division.
Our 7:00 PM performance is the culmination of our competitive season, featuring ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and hip hop performances, by dancers age 8-18. | Buy Tickets |
| | Alma Dance Theater, NFP is thrilled to present a suite of "Coppélia" featuring excerpts from the famous ballet. The story revolves around a toymaker who creates a life-sized dancing doll named Coppélia. The local villagers, including a young couple named Franz and Swanilda, become enamored with the doll and mistake her for a real girl. Chaos ensues when they discover that she is, in fact, a doll, and they attempt to trick the toymaker into continuing to play with her. The ballet features lively and playful dances that celebrate the art of ballet and bring the story of "Coppélia" to life on stage. The selected dances in the suite showcase the beauty and joy of ballet through their liveliness and playfulness.
