Truly an evening like no other, this season finale highlights two incredible women, Florence Price, the first black woman composer to have her work performed by a major orchestra and Jenny Scheinman, violinist, composer, improviser, and bandleader. Price’s captivating “Symphony #1” melds West African rhythms, soulful spirituals with classical traditions. Scheinman will showcase her improvisational virtuosity in a joyous celebration of sound with Eddie Sauter’s “Focus.”
