Join us for The Guys, a powerful, true-to-life 2001 stage play by American writer and journalist Anne Nelson.
Set in New York City shortly after September 11, the play follows Nick, a fire captain who lost eight of his men, and Joan, an editor who helps him write their eulogies. It is a moving story of grief, friendship, courage, and remembrance.
Admission is free, with encouraged donations benefiting local first responders.

| | Alash - Tuvan Throat Singing Concert

ALASH are masters of Tuvan throat singing (xöömei), blending centuries-old traditions with modern harmonies, Western instruments, and contemporary song forms while preserving their distinctly Tuvan sound and heritage. Internationally acclaimed for their performances and collaborations with artists across genres, they have toured widely, including in the United States, and appeared on Grammy-winning recordings and major creative projects. Beyond performing, ALASH is dedicated to cultural exchange, regularly teaching Tuvan music and throat singing through workshops for students of all ages.

| | Jami Rhodes -Galway Guest Voice Recital

A native of North Carolina, mezzo-soprano Jami Rhodes is currently Professor of Voice at East Carolina University where she teaches applied voice, conducts the ECU Concert Choir (ECU’s treble ensemble), is coordinator of vocal pedagogy, and currently serves as chair of the vocal studies area. Dr Rhodes is an active presenter, adjudicator, and masterclass clinician in solo vocal and choral capacities across the country. She is also an active performer in a variety of genres holding a number of favorite operatic roles to her credit and is a frequent performer as a mezzo-soprano in many concert works including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Verdi’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and others. She will perform a solo recital on March 8, 2027.

Michele Santi is an accomplished Italian trumpet player specializing in modern, Renaissance, Baroque, and Romantic trumpet repertoire. A graduate with highest honors from the Conservatories of Ferrara and Bologna, he has performed in major concert halls and festivals throughout Europe, the United States, and Japan, with numerous recordings for internationally recognized labels. He will perform a solo recital with organ on March 30, 2027.

| | NGU Orchestra with Parrini Piano Trio

The Parrini Piano Trio consist of NGU’s professor of piano, Fabio Parrini, his brother Alberto, and Alberto’s wife, Naho. Each of the Parrini Trio members have impressive musical credentials and musical careers performing individually and in ensembles across the United States and internationally. The Parrini Trio will join the NGU Orchestra for Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C Major, Op. 56. On April 24, 2027.
