The Liar
By David Ives
Adapted from Le Menteur by Pierre Corneille

Directed by Les Campbell
November 29 – December 15, 2024

Dorante is a charming and handsome young fellow with one flaw: He can't tell the truth! On arriving in Paris, Dorante quickly meets his new manservant Cliton (who can't tell a lie!), and falls for the lovely Clarice (who he mistakes for her best friend Lucrece). Dorante spins a series of lies trying to keep Clarice, Lucrece, his best friend Alcippe and his father Geronte all happy, but each lie he tells gives birth to two more. Can he keep his stories straight long enough to keep everyone in the dark and still get the girl?

Audience Notes: Suggestive Language and Double-Entendres.

Home, I'm Darling
By Laura Wade

Directed by Lilian Oh-Furlong and Ryan MacDonald
January 31 – February 16, 2025

It's easy to romanticize the past, and for Judy and Johnny nothing will ever beat the bubbly pastels of the 1950's. The image of marital bliss, the couple devotes every paycheck to living, dressing, eating, and breathing like it's the post-war boom. But when their flowery facade begins to crumble under 21st Century pressures, the two learn some things are better left behind. A dark comedy full of heart and humor, "Home, I'm Darling" questions our rose-tinted view of the past and what is learned (and lost) when we move forward.

Audience Notes: Adult Language, Mature Subject Matter (discussions of sexual harassment, discussions of domestic violence, discussions of misogyny), Smoking depicted.

A non-professional production

Play On!
By Rick Abbot

Directed by Allissa Flood
April 4 – 20, 2025

One ragtag community theatre is about to produce a show called Murder Most Foul, a new "murder mystery play" with the same title as an Agatha Christie novel but with no relation whatsoever. The director thought producing the play was a good idea since the inexperienced playwright has agreed to let the company perform the show for no charge. However, they have no idea what disasters await.

Audience Notes: Alcohol and Gun Shots.
