| The Savannah Sipping Society
By Jones Hope Wooten
Directed by Joe Goins
In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate—and an impromptu happy hour—and decide it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years. Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment—and most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new old friends.
THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)

| Join us for a staged reading of An UnSafe Space written by Christopher Bailey and directed by Cindy Giese French. Part of the FIRST DRAFT staged reading series presented by the Edmonds Driftwood Players and Driftwood After Dark.
Kim and Kyle meet in an empty black box theater to rehearse the respective parts of Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski in an upcoming production of “A Streetcar Named Desire.” They have been struggling to make their onstage relationship work and, with the help of their director, Josh, will be venturing into uncharted territory by trying the infamous Method approach. As their pain-filled backstories bleed into the roles each is playing (including Josh, who fills in for the part of Stella), everyone gets pushed out of their comfort zone. Ultimately, as the collapsing floors of identity and time plunge the threesome into a vortex of violence, their black box becomes a black hole.
Expected Run Time: 75-minutes, with no intermission
Playwright Feedback session is after the reading and it is optional to stay and participate.

Robin Hood
Adapted by Michael McGill
Music and Lyrics by Michael McGill
The time is simply long ago and the place is the magical, mythical Sherwood Forest. Our hero, Robin Hood, and his Merry Band of colorful characters seek the help of the Foresters, manage to waylay the Aristocrats and set out to rescue Maid Marion and Marion’s Maid. Prince John tries to stay calm as his Sheriff, guards and horsemen botch Robin’s arrest thanks to the aromatic Skunks. Wacky humor and an original score add to this fresh new look at a legendary outlaw in a legendary time. | Buy Tickets |
