Jersey City Nutcracker

Set to Tchaikovsky’s renowned orchestral score, Jersey City Nutcracker tells the story of two children’s city adventure, following them through fantasy, adversity, and celebration, with lessons about friendship and community along the way. Choreographed and directed by Nimbus Artistic Director Samuel Pott, this adaption of Tchaikovsky's holiday classic is performed by a stand-out cast of professional dancers from Nimbus Dance joined by youth and adults from the community; familiar characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Rat King, and Drosselmeyer - all with a Jersey City twist! Set against jaw-dropping animated video projections by Laia Cabrera and Isabelle Duverger, this tale of Holiday spirit moves youth and adults alike. Plus: surprise guest performers make unforgettable cameo appearances; stay tuned!

December 17th ONLY: Nimbus Holiday Sing-Along Event!

On December 17th, stick around after the Matinee Performance or come early for the evening show to join in winter-themed guided songs and dances led by the School of Nimbus Vocal Teaching Artist Nacia Kruger and the students of the School of Nimbus Singing Program. Families of all ages will enjoy this joyful and cheery participatory event. Enjoy cookies and Hot Chocolate included in the price of admission! (Tickets for this add-on event are available after purchasing tickets to the December 17th performances. Add-on admission is required for kids under 18 only.)
