Take an authentic trip Back to the ‘50s with Minnesota’s Own Holy Rocka Rollaz! If you love the rock ‘n’ roll music of Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline, Eddie Cochran, Bill Haley & The Comets (and many more!), then you have found your DREAM band! There’s nothing but PURE EARLY AMERICAN ROCK ‘N’ ROLL ABOUT THEM. This high-energy Minneapolis trio has been bringing their exciting show to thousands of car show fans, prestigious venues and family friendly city events for several years. Their legend continues to grow.

Using vintage instruments and having spent years studying the styles of all the early rock ‘n’ rollers, this band knows how to deliver the spirit and sound of those pioneers. Lead singer/guitarist Mark Flora plays a hollow body Gretsch through tube amps, bassist/singer Lisa Lynn slaps a mean upright bass and drummer/singer Matt Alexander pounds an old Gretsch drum kit. The band feels no need to update or modernize the classic sound of early American rock ‘n’ roll. “It’s perfect just the way it is. And people are really reacting to it! The looks we see on people’s faces when we really let it rip is priceless! They’re not used to seeing what we do, but they sure do like it! Our favorite comments from older folks are, ’I haven’t heard music done like this since the 50s!’

Our favorite comments from younger folks are, ‘This is COOL! What is this?!?’ We see people from age 2 to 92 enjoying themselves immensely. It’s feel good music. It’s happy. It’s innocent. And the way we do it…it’s EXCITING!”

These 21st Century seniors are partying like it’s 1969 at Pelican Roost, the very active retirement community that is home to the 18 different characters played by the show’s two actors. They are Lothario and lawyer, nurse and neurotic, golfers, gropers and a retired Catskills comic. There are those who recall their youth with body art, and those who regain it behind the wheel. Pelican Roost is where 70-something is the new 20-something…only with looser skin.

The show promises “The Tales Granny Will Never Tell” and it delivers. The show romps through the “best years of their lives” at Pelican Roost. The place oozes with characters, each with unique answers to later-life’s questions

Although this show is for adults, there are no sad songs, no Depends® jokes and no f-bombs. Assisted Living: The Musical® is for everyone who is aging, and for those who hope to. And that includes you!

The Glenn Miller Orchestra is a fully self-contained group consisting of the music director, five saxophone players, four trumpeters, four trombonists, and three rhythm musicians (piano, bass and drums). There are also two vocalists, one male and one female, who perform individually and as part of The Moonlight Serenaders® vocal group.

The big-band business today requires almost constant travel as a result of an arduous schedule of one-night stands. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is “on the road” longer and more continuously than any other in the whole world, having celebrated its 65th year anniversary on June 6, 2021. It covers over a hundred thousand miles a year, working most every night for 48 weeks out of every 52 - nearly 300 playing dates - performing for an “in person” audience that adds up to more than a half million people annually. The orchestra has performed in all 50 United States, as well as throughout Europe, Australia, Iceland, New Zealand, Guam, the Philippines, South and Central America. The orchestra has also toured Japan annually since 1964.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra has always been very musical, disciplined, and visually entertaining. And it has its own distinctive “sound." Except for a few years following his disappearance, Glenn’s orchestra and music have been heard around the world continuously since 1938. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is the most sought after big band in the world today for both concert and dance engagements. Still considered the greatest band of all time, its unique sound is loved by almost anybody that cares for dance music.
