Diagnosed with HIV/AIDS at the age of 26, this is the story of a person facing his own mortality until the release of the life extending drug AZT. At 40, Austin beat back his demons and is living his best life as a drag performer and a professor at Cal State Fullerton.

Leap of Faith follows a single widowed man as he navigates the unpredictable arc of his own life. Performed entirely by one actor, the show blends storytelling and song to explore the moments that shape a person.
Along the way, he inhabits the voices of the people who inspired him—through the songs of the Broadway heroines who sang about what he felt in his heart. Jon takes us along on his ride from youthful optimism to self-doubt, love and loss, that leads to a powerful final revelation. The challenges he once saw as obstacles were, in fact, the stepping stones that shaped his resilience, compassion, and sense of purpose.
