The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS, an original adaptation of the classic fairy tale. A young princess named Show White finds herself in peril when her step-mother, the Queen, is told by her Magic Mirror that the princess is fairer than she! Aided by her two Henchmen and a band of evil Bats, the Queen plots to get rid of Snow White. Snow White escapes from the Queen and from the Black Forest Creatures with help from Witless the Woodsman, and finds a home with the Seven Dwarfs. When the Queen learns of Snow White’s whereabouts, she attempts to poison Snow White. But, the Queen’s evil plans are thwarted when Snow White’s fearless Forest Friends, her father King Backwards, the Seven Dwarfs and the Prince come to her rescue.

Professor Smart’s Fun with Physics **Y.E.S!

“Fun'” is the word most used when it comes to describing the Fun with Physics Show. Trained as a juggler, physical and verbal comedian, Todd Victor brings science to life with an interactive performance combining theatrical storytelling and very cool demonstrations. His fascination with how things work and his love of comedy helps get kids excited about the sciences. He has carefully studied the scientific concepts in the shows with the help of teachers, and scientists. Todd has studied and performed mime, juggling, and physical comedy since 1980. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fun Arts from Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Clown College. Todd loves performing, teaching, computers, inventing, juggling, tennis, table tennis and creating one of a kind props for fun-filled shows.

The Accidental Hero

The Accidental Hero is a multi-media one-man show about a WWII American officer who miraculously liberates the Czech villages of his grandparents. It's a true story, written and performed by his grandson. Patrick Dewane's grandfather refused to talk about his service in the war. Yet when he died, his basement yielded a treasure trove of typewritten accounts, photos and rare film footage. Dewane brings this archival material to glowing life as an enthralling, humorous and heartwarming tale of miraculous escapes and astonishing coincidences. This touching show runs from belly laughs to tears. Dewane takes on a dozen different roles as he powerfully recounts his grandfather's journey from Omaha Beach, the Battle of the Bulge, and the end of WWII.

Tombstone Trials Radio Play *Tulip Time

In the aftermath of the O.K. Corral Shootout, the Earp Brothers and their friend Doc Holliday were brought before a c ourt of law and charged with murdering the McLaury Brothers and Billy Clanton. This preliminary hearing was presided over by Wells Spicer and resulted in a not-guilty verdict for the defendants. Long-forgotten connections to Iowa have led to a play, Tombstone Trial: the Iowa Connection, based on this hearing. The connections cover the state and include Pella, Iowa, where the Earp Brothers grew up; Belle Plaine, where the McLaury Brothers had their boyhood home before moving to Buchanan County; and Tipton, where Wells Spicer grew to adulthood. Further Iowa connections are to Fairfax, Davenport and Tama, Iowa. Join us for this Iowa-connected history show.

Saturday: Central College Flying Pans *Tulip Time

The Central College Flying Pans Steel Band, founded and directed by Stanley E. Dahl, Senior Lecturer of Music, have traveled extensively throughout the United States performing concerts, workshops, and clinics, island parties and festivals since 2000. They have also performed for the Iowa Days of Percussion, Iowa Music Educators Association Conference, Iowa Bandmasters Association Conference, International Association of Pan, Percussive Arts Society International Convention, Red Rocks Amphitheater, SXSW, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Consisting of both music and non-music majors, they have also performed alongside and received clinics with steelpan/Caribbean artists Chris Wabich, the PANic All-Stars, Jumbies, Tropical Steel, Britton/Moore Duo, Liam Teague + Robert Chappell, Panoramic, Ken “Professor” Philmore, Andy Narell, and Tracy Thornton. The Flying Pans perform diverse styles of music from traditional calypso, soca and reggae to that of classical, Latin, disco, techno and rock and roll in which they have recorded numerous CDs for steelpan.
