| | Join us for a presetation by James Shepard, "Discovering Desert Plants on you Street," and dessert! James Shepard has been volunteering with the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, guiding tours for the past 7 years. He has pursured his passion of desert plants and loves to share what he knows. The purpose of the talk will be to profile Sonoran and other desert plants such as Saguaro, prickly pear, agave, aloe, golden barrel, ocotillo, various trees such as palo verde, mesquite, ironwood, and bushes, and some plants that are not on your street, and more, with a 15-minute question and answer session following. Jim is not a degreed scientist (botany, biology, etc.), nor a landscaper but someone who has pursued this as a hobby with a lifelong passion.
