| The Virginia Chorale opens its 42nd season with poor hymnal, the 2023 concert-length work by Pulitzer Prize winning composer David Lang. Set to sacred and secular texts about community and compassion, poor hymnal is a “thoughtful, moving, and inspiring” work that will receive its Virginia premiere by the Chorale.
