In what has become a regular tradition, the global Songs of Hope performance company of youth from countries worldwide is returning to Chatfield. The award-winning Songs of Hope concert showcases the talents of young artists ranging in age from 10 to 20 drawn to Minnesota from countries all across the globe, including countries as far away as Vietnam, China, Poland, Italy, France, Turkey, Israel, Jamaica, Guatemala, and Argentina.
The annual Songs of Hope project has a well-deserved reputation for lively, upbeat shows enjoyed by audiences of all ages, and the 2019 version of the show promises to be even bigger and better than ever. With close to 90 performers on stage from a dozen countries, the concert will serve up a delightful mix of global music from places large and small chosen to be perfect entertainment on a warm summer’s night: Broadway hits, traditional folk, jazz, blues, rock ‘n roll, and much more.
More than a choir, Songs of Hope dazzles audiences with an array of rich cultural dress from countries across the globe, energetic movement by the performers, music by a talented band, imaginative sets, and much more.
