Our annual company-made family-friendly shows have become a Portland holidays tradition! Each winter, we turn over the choreographic duties to our company members to conceive, create, and present to you.

Five of NW Dance Project’s talented, award-winning dancers (William Couture, Kody Jauron, Andrea Parson [2010 Princess Grace Award winner], Kevin Pajarillaga, and Anthony Pucci) are conceiving, creating, and producing an unforgettable contemporary dance experience inspired by famous fairytales, fantastic fables, snowy scenes, and wintertime wonders. Join in an adventure with Gerta and the Deer, see the Snow Queen in full rave mode, go inside the secret relationship between The Grinch and his hapless dog Max, slide your way back to the 1950s, and witness a battle between the heat miser and the frost miser. And as a special bonus, our Resident Choreographer, Ihsan Rustem, is creating whimsical new "show bookends" for our 10 company dancers as well as our new Young Creatives student performing group.

The show is 70+ minutes long with no intermission.

After the show, all attendees are invited to stay, meet the dancers, and enjoy a glass of warm homemade wassail!

A fresh and unique holiday performing arts event, our dancer-made family-friendly winter shows have become a Portland tradition that have consistently ended up on City Commissioner Nick Fish’s “Year’s Best” lists.

Join us and celebrate the season with new dance!
