Todd Barry has spent years ironically playing the part of a huge, conceited superstar on stage at intimate venues around the world. But the joke seems to have finally caught up with him, because today’s comedy community now considers Todd Barry to be one of the great comedians of his generation, nearly as famous and revered as he’s always pretended to be. Besides performing his genius brand of deadpan stand-up everywhere from The Kennedy Center to The Sydney Opera House to Madison Square Garden, Barry has also appeared on every TV show that ever mattered: Letterman, Colbert, Larry Sanders, Sex and the City, Sesame Street, Bob’s Burgers, Dr. Katz, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. All the classics. In addition to his lifetime of brilliant work on stage and screen, Barry also recently wrote a book called Thank You For Coming to Hattiesburg, in which he documented a year-long tour he made of smaller cities (“tertiary markets”) around the country. Todd Barry is one of our favorite comedians of all-time and we cannot believe we get to welcome him to our tertiary market!
