Lisa is a senior in high school who works at a local diner. As she struggles with what to do after high school, her subconscious appears and helps her experience a few possible careers. This only confuses her more. Her co-worker, who has been working at the diner for over 30 years, is full of advice and full of life experiences to share. She tries to comfort Lisa but finds that Lisa often comforts her. But the one who helps Lisa the most is a homeless man, with a little red book, who never utters a word. From him Lisa is set on a path to her future.
