Cultural Sharing Event! Glass Half Full Theatre of Austin performs an imaginative and inspiring show for kids at the Wimberley Playhouse. English/Spanish easily understood by all. When Cenicienta opened in Austin in 2015, the Austin Chronicle called it “captivating for children and adults alike.” The one-hour show finds Belinda, aka Cenicienta, a 10-year old Latina, in the basement folding napkins for a party planned by her stepmother and stepsisters. The honoree will be a famous poet idolized by Belinda, who writes poetry herself. Her chances of showing him her work look slim until a certain godmother appears and Belinda learns to stand up for herself and her family’s heritage. Free event, reservations required.
